Should I start playing Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn?

Since its August 2013 release, Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn (FF) has been on my radar. Originally it was because i’m always on the look out for my next addictive MMO fix. Thanks to some fairly heavy discussion around gender equality and representation in videogames, A Realm Reborn has popped up again as a game i’m kind of actually wanting to get into.
